The Charleston Interreligious Council is an organization that seeks to build bridges of understanding to promote sensitivity, tolerance, respect and fellowship among religious groups.

Formerly known as the Christian Jewish Council of Greater Charleston, the organization was founded in 1979 and initially met in the homes of founding individuals. Learn more about our history and about how we decided to change our name in 2018.

The Charleston Interreligious Council builds bridges of understanding through its programs and events. Please join us in one or all of our many gatherings. Our events are all free and open to the public.
