Synagogue Emanu-El joins Dr. J. Goosby Smith and the Charleston Interreligious Council in a virtual healing circle on the 6th anniversary of the Mother Emanuel massacre. These circles create a special safe space that involves curated facilitation, during which diverse participants answer and listen deeply to the responses of others. Bring an open-mind and the desire to connect with others in our community! Dr. J. is the former director of the Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation Center at the Citadel. She presently serves as Vice President of Community Belonging and Chief Diversity Officer at Pepperdine University.
